Raft Guide Training

Raft Guide Training
Salida River Adventures is offering a Raft Guide Training course for the 2026 Rafting season. Are you a passionate outdoors person, with a desire to learn river guiding skills from long time industry professionals?

Training is conducted over the course of 3 weeks, starting May 18th and wrapping up June 5th. Upon completion trainees will meet the minimum standards set forth by the AHRA and Colorado State Parks to become a certified river guide. Minimum training covers all state regulations. Upon completion of training, you will have the opportunity to have a “check out” run on multiple sections of the Arkansas river, including the Salida Town Run and Browns Canyon National Monument.

Throughout training, SRA will provide all necessary rafting equipment. Once you’ve cleared training, guides are expected to invest in their own personal gear. SRA offers competitive wages, a supportive team environment, and a workplace that’s hard to beat.
